Job Description

An IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC) role at the Defense Information Systems Agency places you at the center of critical cyber defense work, operating within the Cyber Excepted Service at a Senior Work Level in the CES. The position is based onsite at Fort Meade, Maryland, with a salary range of USD 121,785 to 158,322 per year, and it supports the mission of US Cyber Command. This opportunity calls for a Top Secret/SCI clearance and adherence to federal requirements throughout the cycle of duties.

Responsibilities

  • Direct analytical reviews to identify issues, shape Cyberspace Operations roles, and craft novel concepts with clear, authoritative recommendations for complex, interrelated missions.
  • Support crisis action planning by guiding projects through all phases, including mission analysis, developing courses of action, conducting COA analysis, and formulating plans.
  • Develop concepts of operations and courses of action; coordinate with technical and military analysts to consolidate findings into comprehensive products for senior leadership.
  • Provide technical assessments of cyberspace operations and monitor updates to ensure initiatives align with objectives and address operational needs and gaps.
  • Plan for the integration of information security measures and oversee the implementation of solutions; review work products for accuracy and conformity to design concepts and standards.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Males born after 12-31-1959 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
  • This national security position may require access to classified information and requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment; failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
  • Under the DoD 8140 policy, foundational qualifications must be completed within 9 months and residential qualification requirements within 12 months.
  • Drug testing position.
  • Top Secret/SCI security clearance required.
