IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT/INFOSEC)
Job Description
An IT Cybersecurity Specialist is sought to support DISA WHCA operations from Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. This onsite role in Washington, DC sits within the CES structure of the Excepted Service, delivering secure customer IT solutions and sustaining system operations for defense communications.
Location: Washington, DC onsite
Salary: USD 102,415 - 133,142 per year
Minimum Experience: 1 year
Responsibilities
- Acts as a member of the application implementation team to ensure customer service requirements are met.
- Functions as the lead technical analyst, addressing the full spectrum of customer IT problems within the scope of activity operations.
- Coordinates, deploys, and maintains the installation and operation of customer application systems.
- Evaluates technical and design specifications to address customer needs.
- Monitors the availability and functionality of customer hardware and software, identifying and reporting issues.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- This national security position may require access to classified information and requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment; failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- Drug Testing Position.
- Recall/On Call 24/7 Position.
- Males born after 12/31/59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
- Top Secret/SCI position with Yankee White.
- This is a drug testing designated position.
- This is a Mission Essential position.
- In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and Residential Qualification requirements in 12 months.
- In accordance with DoD Instruction 5210.87, Selection of DoD Military and Civilian Personnel and Contractor Employees for Assignment to Presidential Support Activities (PSAs).
- Attention to Detail - experience reviewing IT related work or data for accuracy and consistency with standards.
- Customer Service - experience maintaining relationships with customers and tailoring IT products and services to meet needs.
- Oral Communication - ability to brief mid level management and IT staff and convey technical information to non technical audiences.
- Problem Solving - ability to identify alternatives and apply information from multiple sources to address complex IT issues.
- Experience in computer networking, IT security protocols, or risk management.
- No substitution of education for qualifying experience at the GG-12 grade level.
