This Zero-Trust and cybersecurity engineering role supports USPACOM J6 enterprise IT across the Pacific, applying modern zero-trust design to strengthen mission partner interoperability and enterprise capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and sustain MPE network capabilities aligned with the MPE Network Engineering program.
- Assess performance, interoperability, and resilience requirements across mission partner environments.
- Incorporate Zero Trust principles into network and cybersecurity design, covering identity, access control, segmentation, visibility, and policy enforcement.
- Support modernization efforts to meet DoW cybersecurity compliance, operational needs, and enterprise architecture direction.
- Collaborate with USPACOM J6 stakeholders, service components, mission partners, and GDIT colleagues to resolve technical challenges.
- Develop concise technical documentation, briefings, status updates, and actionable recommendations for customers and internal leadership.
Requirements
- Technical training or certifications plus 13+ years of relevant experience in the role, mission area, or an equivalent DoW/enterprise IT environment; or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with 8+ years of experience.
- Key technical skills include Zero Trust architecture, cybersecurity engineering, identity and access concepts, segmentation, policy enforcement, and DoW compliance.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Strong communication, analytical problem solving, technical writing, customer engagement, and the ability to coordinate across engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and mission partner teams.
- On-site presence at the JBPH-H customer location.

Salary and Benefit Information
Salary range: $153,000 — $207,000 per year. This range is not a guarantee of compensation; final salary is determined by experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements and may fall outside this range.
