Cybersecurity Technical Writer - AI Trainer

DataAnnotation is seeking a Cybersecurity Technical Writer - AI Trainer for a remote contract role based in Alabama. In this position, you’ll help train AI models and evaluate the quality of AI-generated cybersecurity content, spanning threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security topics. The role offers flexible scheduling and remote work options for eligible regions.

Responsibilities

• Assess AI-produced cybersecurity content such as threat analyses, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques for real-world accuracy and relevance.
• Design and solve security-focused technical challenges used to train AI systems.
• Produce clear technical explanations and security-relevant code.
• Provide feedback that informs the next generation of AI security models.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, including areas such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or related fields, including government or military cyber operations.
• Some coding experience and comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
• Fluency in English with strong writing skills (native or bilingual level).
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Cybersecurity certifications are a plus (examples include OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar).
