Job Description

This FBI Special Agent position centers on cybersecurity and information technology expertise to lead investigations and safeguard national security through cyber defense, threat detection, and vulnerability analysis. The role is based onsite in Portland, Oregon, and requires transitioning into federal law enforcement with the appropriate qualifications, clearances, and education.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct investigations into potential federal violations, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety concerns.
  • Apply sound judgment, resourcefulness, and adaptability to meet investigative demands.
  • Develop and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement partners.
  • Maintain the physical readiness required to perform law enforcement duties.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Meets the FBI Employment Eligibility requirements.
  • Master's degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university.

Salary Level

Pay range for this position is $103,236.00 to $133,200.00 per year. Salary is commensurate with base pay, locality pay, and availability pay.
