Job Description

CGI Group, Inc. seeks a Cybersecurity Specialist to lead security operations, vulnerability management, and incident response readiness for enterprise systems. This hybrid role is based in Lafayette, Louisiana or Knoxville, Tennessee, with hybrid work options, and requires U.S. citizenship.

Compensation

Salary range: USD 71,700 to 176,300 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze security events across enterprise systems, and respond to alerts and incidents.
  • Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments, coordinate patch deployment, and verify remediation using tools such as Qualys and SonarQube.
  • Establish, maintain, and enforce security policies and controls aligned with NIST, FISMA, and Section 508.
  • Support internal and external audits, risk assessments, and incident response exercises.
  • Partner with IT, development, and operations teams to embed secure practices within DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Manage identity and access management activities, including privileged access controls, user provisioning, and access reviews.
  • Document incidents and compliance findings, issue remediation recommendations, and communicate results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior cybersecurity staff.
  • Monitor emerging threats and vulnerabilities, track trends, and suggest adjustments to strengthen the security posture.
  • Contribute to the ongoing refinement of security operations procedures, playbooks, and response workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five to eight years of experience in cybersecurity operations, information security, or IT security.
  • Proficiency with security monitoring, vulnerability management, and SIEM/SOAR platforms such as Qualys, SonarQube, or Splunk.
  • Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat analysis, risk management, and incident response processes.
  • Experience supporting compliance with federal security frameworks and controls (NIST, FISMA, Section 508).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and version control environments such as Azure DevOps and Git.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Eligibility for a federal background investigation and compliance with federal security requirements.
