Job Description
The Cybersecurity Engineer role is based onsite in Columbus, OH, focusing on resolving information assurance challenges and integrating electronic processes, with Splunk ES based monitoring and incident response support. The position offers a salary range of USD 127,500 to 251,100 per year.
Responsibilities
- Analyze threat information from multiple sources, including logs, intrusion detection systems, intelligence reports, and vendor sites.
- Develop customized Splunk ES dashboards and create ES rules, reports, data monitors, active channels, and trends to identify and elevate high-threat items.
- Administer and maintain the Splunk ES infrastructure, including backend database support, upgrades, and daily maintenance.
- Provide security engineering support across planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, and integration of information systems.
- Serve as a key resource and advisor for CERT Incident Handlers and site Information Assurance Managers, ensuring robust incident response and data mining optimizations.
Requirements
- Seven (7) years of relevant IT experience.
- DOD Secret Clearance.
- Must be eligible for IT I.
- DOD 8570/8140 IAT level III certification.
- DOD 8570/8140 CND-IS certification.
- Linux+ and Splunk Administrator proficiency.
- Experience creating custom dashboards and reports in Splunk using threat data.
- Experience in the integration and sustainment of Splunk Core and Splunk Enterprise Security (ES).
