Job Description

Senior SAP Application Security Lead responsible for delivering SAP security solutions on a S/4HANA Greenfield government program, guiding a team of SAP Security Analysts through the project lifecycle in Lafayette, LA (hybrid).

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of SAP Security Analysts through the project lifecycle.
  • Apply project tools and applications to deliver SAP security solutions aligned with SAP best practices and industry standards.
  • Participate in security solution selection, design, and implementation as part of the project team.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve a secure SAP environment.
  • Oversee all security aspects of system builds, upgrades, patching, client copies, and system refreshes.
  • Facilitate SAP security workshops with clients and project personnel.
  • Engage the project team and client for requirement gathering and status reporting.
  • Provide extensive training and leadership to both client and internal teams.
  • Identify and communicate security issues, risks, and opportunities to enable timely resolution.
  • Deliver SAP security solutions, analytics, reports, and design TDS/FDS/WRICEF documents and SOPs.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and successful CGI background check are required prior to starting; ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience administering SAP security for SAP applications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading a major IT program with multiple teams or projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all management levels.
  • Experience shaping SAP landscape security strategy and architecture.
  • Experience supporting project implementations with SAP GRC, SAP BTP, and other SAP security tools.
  • Experience in SAP application security implementation methodologies, role-based user authorization, and access controls.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP security configuration, user administration, authorization troubleshooting, and role-based security development and maintenance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment with ongoing challenges.
  • Ability to liaise between business units, technology teams, and project development teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while delivering high quality results.

Desired Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of user authorization and Segregation of Duties (SoD) concepts.
  • Ability to influence change and operate effectively in rapidly evolving tech and business environments.
  • Current SAP Security Certification is desirable.
  • Project experience within government agencies or the public sector is highly desirable.
