Supervisory Information Technology Cybersecurity Specialist (PLCYPLN)
Job Description
A senior supervisory information technology cybersecurity role within the DoD Cyber Excepted Service at Fort Meade, Maryland, guiding cyberspace operations tradecraft, tool development, and operator progression.
Responsibilities
- Lead a diverse team of joint-service military personnel, civilians, and contractors; set performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and address disciplinary matters.
- Oversee cyberspace operations tradecraft and tool development from requirements and resources through partner coordination to fielding capabilities.
- Perform risk assessments and craft mitigation strategies linked to tactics, techniques, and procedures used in CNMF operations.
- Establish and enforce standards for cyberspace operator development and certification; train and certify operators and advance proficiency across multiple platforms.
- Serve as the lead subject matter expert on cyberspace operations tradecraft, tool development, and lifecycle management.
- Develop and enforce policies related to cyberspace operators and cyberspace operations.
- Head the CNMF Weapons and Tactics, Infrastructure, and Capabilities Branch.
- Advise CNMF personnel executing cyberspace operations in alignment with USCYBERCOM priorities.
- Negotiate agreements, identify technical solutions to complex problems, and resolve contentious issues.
Requirements
- Suitability or fitness determination may be required after a background investigation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- Pre-employment screening with ongoing random testing, including testing based on reasonable suspicion and in connection with on-duty incidents.
- Supervisory status as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's General Schedule Supervisory Guide.
- Temporary Duty or business travel requirement of about 25 percent.
- DoD Cyber Excepted Service position under 10 USC 1599f.
- Three year probationary period unless already meeting DoDI 1400.25 V3005 requirements.
- Successful completion of an initial and periodic Counter-Intelligence Polygraph with No Deception Indicated.
- Meet NSA personnel security requirements as outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1.
