Job Description

The US Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) is seeking a Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC) to support complex information assurance and cybersecurity efforts at cleared contractor sites. This onsite role in Downers Grove, IL involves oversight across geographically dispersed stakeholders and collaboration with government and industry partners.

Role Overview

In this position, you will help ensure Information System Security Managers apply required INFOSEC controls and processes. You will also participate as a member of the Industrial Security Central Region Cybersecurity (FOC3) management team, supporting regional information assurance responsibilities that include certification/accreditation and related review activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve on the FOC3 management team and report to the Regional Mission Director/Authorizing Official (RMD/AO), providing assistance with regional information assurance efforts including certification/accreditation and review responsibilities.
  • Supervise, mentor, and direct Information System Security Professionals across a geographically dispersed area applying the Cybersecurity Risk Management Framework to NISP stakeholders.
  • Lead Information System Security Control Assessment activities at the Regional Field Office, coordinating with cleared defense contractors in the NISP and government stakeholders, and provide IT risk recommendations to the RMD/AO.
  • Conduct analysis, evaluation, and verification of defense contractor security plans for computer systems, networks, IS, and emerging technology solutions to help ensure the protection of classified information.
  • Provide IT security and risk management oversight through collaborative engagements with Military, U.S. government, and industry partner customers across the Continental United States (CONUS).
  • Advise regional leadership on cybersecurity issues, program requirements, and personnel resources that affect accomplishment of regional goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the Field Office Business Planning process by prioritizing resources and developing short- and long-term goals aligned with the Agency strategic plan.

Required Qualification Details

  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Selective Service requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered.
  • Drug Testing designated position.
  • This is a DCIPS position in the Excepted Service under U.S.C. 1601.
  • Work Schedule: Full Time; Overtime: Occasionally; Tour of Duty: Flexible.
  • PCS: Not Authorized.
  • FLSA: Exempt.
  • Financial Disclosure: Not Required.
  • Telework Eligibility: Supervisors may approve situational telework case-by-case on a temporary basis for limited situations.
  • If selected, obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance as indicated in the job announcement.
  • Must be certified within six months of the appointment date (if not already certified) in Information Assurance per DoD 8570.01-M for IAM Level III and IAT level II.
  • Requires the legal and personal qualification to operate a motor vehicle.

Additional Information

  • Selected applicants may be required to serve a two-year trial period.
  • Selected Federal employees in the competitive service must acknowledge they will voluntarily leave the competitive service upon accepting a DCIPS excepted service offer.
  • Initial drug screening is followed by random testing thereafter.

Location: Downers Grove, IL (onsite). Salary: USD 128,967 - 182,790 per year. Minimum experience listed: 1 years.
