Job Description
IT Specialist (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC) (Senior Audit Liaison) supports policy planning, information security, and audit liaison duties within the HUD Office of the Chief Information Officer.
Responsibilities
- Guide the identification and resolution of management scenarios requiring IT IRM activities related to reviewing and auditing IT functions and processes.
- Define actions to support GAO and OIG workflows and design controls needed for program execution and department‑wide deployment.
- Lead the handling of major audit findings to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Act as the department's primary liaison with OMB, GSA, GAO, and other organizations on government‑wide initiatives and policy implementation.
- Serve as the liaison with OCFO, GAO, and OIG regarding audits and material weaknesses affecting the OCIO.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship or U.S. nationality is required.
- A one year probationary period may be required; continued employment depends on supervisory certification that further service benefits the Federal Service, with certification due at least 30 days before the end of the probation period.
- Successful completion of a background investigation is required.
- Public Trust background investigation will be required.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine suitability when requested by the agency.
- Salary must be deposited via Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer to a financial institution of choice.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must certify Selective Service registration or exemption.
- Complete a Personal Identity Verification process with two forms of identification in line with Form I-9 requirements.
