IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Sysadmin)

NAVAIR is hiring an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Sysadmin) within the Infrastructure Branch of the Operations Department. Based onsite in Lakehurst, NJ, this role supports NAVAIRWARCENADLKE by delivering trusted cybersecurity guidance and coordinating work across infrastructure-related efforts.

In this position, your recommendations are used by management as a basis for decision making, and you will oversee and direct other employees who contribute to segments of the overall work within your area of cognizance.

Role overview

• Authoritative cybersecurity advising: Provide authoritative advice that is accepted as accurate by management and used to support managerial decisions.
• Technical direction and coordination: Direct the work of other employees (of equivalent or lower Pay Bands) who may perform segments of the overall work under your cognizance.
• Assignment definition and planning: Participate in defining assignments, determine approaches from a wide range of alternatives, and identify and assemble required resources.
