Job Description
SAIC is hiring a cybersecurity systems administrator to support the Space Systems Command in Colorado Springs. In this onsite role, you will help develop, deploy, modernize, and expand a program while improving desktop, mobile, and network security. The position also includes acting as the primary ISSO for a TS/SCI Special Access Program and installing and configuring cybersecurity tools.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth technical scans of hardware, operating systems, and software to identify system vulnerabilities.
- Complete system configuration tasks on Linux and some Windows systems to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Serve as the primary ISSO for a TS/SCI Special Access Program for Space System Command across multiple sites in Colorado Springs.
- Install, configure, and maintain cybersecurity tools, including Trellix, HBSS, ACAS, and SolarWinds.
- Perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting to build a more secure and hardened software and systems environment.
- Maintain excellent documentation of technical materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet mission objectives.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and 14+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Active Top Secret or DoE Q clearance with SCI eligibility; must be eligible for SCI indoctrination within the first 3 months of the start date and able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required for DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 compliance.
- 7+ years of cybersecurity experience.
- Experience building hardened solutions for systems and software from the ground up.
- Strong experience with Linux-based operating systems.
- Experience working with SCAPs, STIGs, ACAS, and Nessus (and related tooling).

- Experience using source code scanning tools such as Fortify.
- Experience working with networking tools, including Cisco products.
- Experience with virtualization tools such as VMware, VirtualBox, or other hypervisors.
Compensation: USD 140,001 - 180,000 per year. Location: Colorado Springs, CO, US (onsite).
