Data Scientist, Intermediate (Info. Systems & Cyber Security, Analyst)

Responsibilities

• Apply professional knowledge of computer science and mathematical and statistical theories to gather, analyze, design, and construct processes for modeling and reporting quantitative information, trends, relationships, and correlations within data sets.
• Participate in Mission Thread Analysis to trace system functionality to operational mission objectives, supporting vulnerability identification and resilience strategy validation.
• Identify methods, processes, algorithms, tools, and systems to extract and interpret findings from varied structured and unstructured data throughout the data science lifecycle.
• Develop algorithms and tools to support data manipulation and processing, and employ data visualization techniques to articulate findings.
• Execute comprehensive data management to drive actionable mission intelligence, including data extraction from databases, extensive cleaning and normalization, and rigorous statistical analysis to identify operational trends and anomalies.
• Build and maintain automated intelligence dashboards, develop predictive data models, and translate highly technical findings into plain-language insights for stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience performing the responsibilities described above.
• Two years supporting NAVAIR, NAWCAD.
• Education: BA/BS.
