Responsibilities
- Build quick, productive relationships with cross-functional teams and clearly convey security concepts to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
- Implement security controls across infrastructure, boosting detection, vulnerability management, and event correlation within large, complex enterprises.
- Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments across networks, systems, and applications.
- Leverage big data analytics and security events to spot advanced threats or indicators of compromise and coordinate resolution with the team.
- Recommend secure solutions and contribute to architecture enhancements for an enterprise cross-domain platform serving multiple customers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of information security management experience, including monitoring, auditing, risk analysis, and ensuring secure system operations.
- Experience in secure systems administration, including hardening, patching, logging, and configuration management.
- Experience drafting or editing technical security documentation and developing accreditation packages.
- Experience leading or supporting RMF processes through ATO or ATO renewal, coordinating with ISSMs, ISSOs, assessors, and authorizing officials.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, VLANs, routing, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, and CNSSI 1253.
- Ability to independently review technical architectures and identify security gaps.
- Ability to map 800-171 / CMMC practices to technical implementations.
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree in a CS or IT field and 5+ years of related security engineering or systems/network administration experience, or 10+ years in lieu of a degree.

Compensation
Salary range: $99,000 to $225,000 per year.
Location and Work Model
Location: Columbia, Maryland, onsite. Primary work at a Booz Allen office or a customer facility, with collaboration across teams and clients as required by the role.
Clearance
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required. Applicants selected will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to access classified information.
