Careers Inc invites qualified professionals to apply for the Cybersecurity Lead Engineer role, overseeing administration and configuration of information security tools, devices, safeguards, and cybersecurity event management. This onsite, full-time position in San Juan, Puerto Rico leads security operations, incident response, and risk management across the enterprise. You will collaborate with service providers and cross-functional teams including application development, IT operations, networks, and privacy to build, test, implement, administer, and troubleshoot enterprise security solutions. The role emphasizes leadership in tactical execution, trend analytics, and maintaining organizational risk compliance, while driving the development of security controls to reduce risk. You will oversee security technology incident response, problem management, and the development of operational strategies related to technology security, including migrations, upgrades, and the disposal of complex security capabilities, along with remediation actions. The position offers a salary range of USD 1 - 2 per year and is full-time and onsite in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Responsibilities
- Partner with service providers to align security services with enterprise needs.
- Collaborate with departments across application development, IT operations, networks, and privacy teams.
- Lead teams in building, testing, deploying, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise security solutions.
- Direct staff in the tactical execution and implementation of operational plans.
- Drive ongoing analytics of security trends and maintain compliance with organizational risk.
- Lead the development of security controls to reduce enterprise risk.
- Oversee security technology incident response and problem management.
- Guide the development of operational strategies related to technology security.
- Oversee migration, upgrades, and disposal of complex security capabilities.
- Direct remediation actions across security initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 8 plus years of relevant experience, including at least 6 years in cybersecurity and 2 years in infrastructure.
- Background in software development.
- CISSP certification is nice to have.
- Exposure to SSO technologies such as SAML and OAuth.
- Ability to support Azure, with an understanding of Entra and how it works with Azure.
- Scripting and application development background (software development, scripting, Java, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell) is nice to have.
- Application security experience including WAF, bot protection, Privileged Access Management, identity proofing, Azure, PKI, API security, and vulnerability scanning is nice to have.
- Knowledge of application security concepts including the OWASP Top 10.
- Technologies: SAML, OAuth, Azure, Entra, Java, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, WAF, Privileged Access Management, PKI.
