You will play a crucial role in shaping the security posture of a world-renowned financial institution and contribute directly to initiatives that require advanced security engineering, threat analysis, and resilient design. You will apply problem-solving methodologies to tackle a broad set of cybersecurity challenges, partnering with stakeholders to align security with business needs and user requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance to the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review code written by others.
- Clarify security requirements across networks to enable multi-level security that meets organizational needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and senior leaders to propose changes during periods of vulnerability.
- Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas, influencing peers and project decisions toward cutting-edge technologies.
- Apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within the SDLC and toolchain to strengthen security testing and control validation, ensuring traceability and alignment with resiliency and security expectations.
- Utilize enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate security risk analysis and documentation, while validating outputs and safeguarding sensitive data.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification with 5+ years of experience in cloud service development and integration; proficiency in OAuth, SAML, API security, and identity federation; experience building high-performance API-first services and integrating tooling.
- Ability to plan, design, and implement enterprise-level security solutions with hands-on experience across system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, C++, Go, Python, or Java.
- Strong knowledge of software development processes with deep expertise in at least one technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile) and extensive experience with threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing.
- Independent problem-solving capability with minimal oversight; solid understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS inspection, traffic interception, and API gateway patterns.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support security engineering workflows, with emphasis on validation and data sensitivity awareness.
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted security recommendations before adoption, ensuring outcomes align with security, resiliency, and auditability requirements.
