Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)

In this role, you will support technical security assessments of computing environments, helping identify vulnerabilities and non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations while recommending practical mitigation strategies.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a security engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, and/or integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments
- Represent security engineering efforts supporting the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and/or integration of IA architecture, systems, or system components
- Act as a primary security engineering representative for security networking, computing, and enclave environments across the full lifecycle, including design, development, implementation, evaluation, and integration
- Apply knowledge of AI policy, procedures, and workforce structure to design, develop, and implement secure networking, computing, and enclave environments
- Support Government enforcement of trusted relationship design and implementation among external systems and architectures
- Contribute to security planning, assessments, risk analysis, and risk management
- Identify overall security requirements for the proper handling of Government data
- Perform system or network designs spanning multiple enclaves, including environments with differing data protection and classification requirements
- Recommend system-level solutions to resolve security requirements
- Coordinate with the customer and other project team members
Requirements
- Twelve (12) years’ experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity, including recent experience within the last five (5) years with cybersecurity principles and technology covering: Access/control; Authorization, identification and authentication; PKI; Network and enterprise security architecture
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, five (5) additional years of ISSE experience
- IAM Level I Certification required

Location: Columbia, MD (onsite)
Compensation: USD 120,800 - 265,800 per yearly
Clearance to start: TS/SCI with Polygraph
Travel: Up to 10% (Continental US)
