Systems Security Engineer II - P2

Raytheon is seeking a Systems Security Engineer II - P2 to support its Systems Security Engineering (SSE) team within the Systems Engineering Test & Capabilities Directorate. This onsite position in McKinney, TX focuses on building end-to-end security solutions that help safeguard embedded warfighter technology across cyber security, software assurance, and supply chain risk management.

Compensation

• Salary: USD 68,900 - 131,100 per yearly

Experience and Education

• Minimum experience: 2 years
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of SSE solutions into RTX products
• Contribute to defining SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation details, system impacts, and effectiveness
• Plan and guide SSE implementations in customer systems
• Perform attack threat modeling and Critical Program Information Assessments
• Develop top-level system requirements and flow down requirements and implementation concepts to subsystem levels
• Understand and comply with DoD technology release and export licensing policies

Security Clearance Requirements

• U.S. citizenship requirement: U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Clearance status: Active and existing security clearance required on day 1
• Clearance type: DoD Clearance: Secret
• Prior clearance requirement: Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date

Required Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 2 years of prior relevant experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
• Experience in System Security Engineering, computer technology reverse engineering, cybersecurity, or embedded security

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge in generating systems requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans, and/or policies
• Knowledge in Software, Firmware, & Microelectronics Engineering, Cryptography and FPGA design
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Computer Science, or Engineering Science
• Broad understanding of technology and working knowledge of DODI-S-5230.28
• Demonstrated ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness
• Experience contributing in a team environment to develop creative solutions to technical problems
