Responsibilities
- Directs and evaluates assigned personnel.
- Manages workloads.

- Advises J3 leadership and Cyber Mission Force components on close access operations, actively pairing cyber capabilities with specific operational requirements.
- Guides subordinate unit mission planning.
- Deconflicts real-time cyber targeting efforts with DoD and external partners to ensure coordinated effects.
- Analyzes operational reports to assess mission effectiveness.
- Captures lessons learned.
- Represents the Command in enterprise-level policy working groups.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a three year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in DoDI 1400.25 V3005, Cyber Excepted Service, Employment and Placement.
- The incumbent must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1. Must pass a Counterintelligence (CI) scope polygraph examination.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- Incumbent (or Selectee) is required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for this position as outlined in DoDM 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program.
- Specialized experience: One-year specialized experience coordinating multi-agency and international cyber programs to align, integrate, and/or deconflict diverse operational capabilities across joint organizations; leading multidisciplinary technology evaluation projects; and communicating complex technical and operational information through executive briefings and reports to senior leaders to enable strategic decision-making.
- Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include leading others by setting quality standards and reviewing work to ensure it meets acceptable standards.
