Overview
The FBI seeks a Special Agent who can apply cybersecurity and technical know-how to identify, investigate, and disrupt cyber-enabled crimes and risks to national security. This onsite role in San Antonio emphasizes hands-on investigations, cross-agency collaboration, and ongoing training that grows from core cybersecurity work into broader investigative duties.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct investigations into potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity concerns, and public safety issues.
- Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet complex investigative demands.
- Foster and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement partners.
- Maintain the physical fitness required to perform law enforcement duties.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
- Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Salary
Pay range: USD 103,326 – 133,200 per year. Salary is commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay.
