Special Agent: Cybersecurity/Technology Expertise
Job Description
The FBI is looking for a Special Agent with cybersecurity and technology expertise to help plan and conduct investigations involving potential federal law violations tied to cybersecurity and public safety. This is a full-time role with an on-the-road work pattern based in Atlanta, GA (onsite), and compensation of USD 103,326 to 133,200 per year (commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay).
This position combines investigative work with ongoing coordination across law enforcement partners, specialized training, and access to advanced technology. Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, with focus on cybersecurity and public safety.
- Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
- Develop and sustain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
- Maintain a level of physical fitness required to perform law enforcement duties.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university (preferably in computer science, engineering, data science, information technology, or a related field).
