Job Description

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking a Special Agent with cybersecurity and technology expertise to investigate potential federal law violations tied to cybersecurity and public safety. This role supports national security efforts by applying specialized investigative skills to emerging cyber threats.

Based in Salt Lake City, UT, this is an onsite position with travel as required. The FBI offers a pay range of USD 103,326 to 133,200 per year, with salary determined by base, locality, and availability pay.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and conduct investigations involving potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety.
  • Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
  • Establish and sustain liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
  • Maintain a level of physical fitness to support readiness for law enforcement duties.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.

Compensation

  • Pay level: $103,326.00 to $133,200.00
  • Salary is commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay.
