Special Agent: Cybersecurity/Technology Expertise

Bring your cybersecurity expertise into federal investigations. This position is located in Tampa, FL and is onsite, with full-time work that includes travel as required. As a special agent, you will investigate potential violations of federal laws involving cybersecurity and public safety. You will work with cutting-edge technology and develop investigative experience that builds on your current technical background, supporting professional growth and long-term career development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety.
• Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
• Develop and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
• Maintain a level of physical fitness to support readiness for law enforcement duties.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
• Must be willing to travel as required.
• Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.

Education

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in computer science, engineering, data science, information technology, or a related field) from a U.S. accredited college or university.

Compensation

Pay level: $103,326.00–$133,200.00 per year. Salary is commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay.
