Job Description
This Cybersecurity Specialist role supports a mission-critical defense program in Honolulu, Hawaii, with a salary range of USD 111,155 to 150,385 per year.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise to design, implement, and maintain robust cybersecurity solutions that align with enterprise information security requirements.
- Assist with certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation by evaluating content for completeness and compliance and applying system security engineering practices across areas such as design, risk management, cross-domain solutions, encryption, and intrusion detection.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Information Assurance (IA) and Cyber Network Defense (CND) systems, including account management, patching, and signature maintenance.
- Define and fulfill information security requirements based on user needs, policies, regulations, and resource demands, while guiding junior staff.
- Coordinate with senior customer representatives to align program goals, milestones, resources, and risk mitigation activities.
- Apply subject matter expertise to both common user information systems and specialized security systems, including classified networks.
- Ensure adherence to cybersecurity principles such as confidentiality, integrity, availability, non-repudiation, and access control; conduct incident response, security testing, audits, and continuity planning.
- Provide oversight to ensure accuracy, timely deliverables, and effective management of multiple tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 to 6 years of relevant cybersecurity or information system security experience.
- Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility preferred.
