Cyber Identity - CIAM Security Engineer/Consultant
Job Description
As a Cyber Identity - CIAM Security Engineer/Consultant with Deloitte’s Cyber team, you will help design, implement, and support Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solutions across client engagements. The role focuses on configuring identity platforms and delivering requirements-to-deployment outcomes with ongoing production support.
Role Location and Compensation
- Location: San Antonio, TX (onsite)
- Salary: USD 82,600 - 162,800 per year
- Compensation note: The wage range reflects factors considered in compensation decisions, with a reasonable estimate of $82,600-$162,800
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and implementation of Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solutions aligned to client digital transformation and security objectives.
- Participate in end-to-end CIAM engagements, including requirements gathering, current-state assessment, solution design, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Configure and support CIAM capabilities on platforms including Transmit Security, Ping Federate, Okta, and ForgeRock, covering authentication, federation, registration, multi-factor authentication, adaptive access, and customer identity lifecycle processes.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable identity solutions, and develop documentation, process flows, test plans, and delivery artifacts to enable client readiness.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, cyber specialists, developers, testers, and alliance or vendor teams to drive delivery milestones, resolve issues, and build trusted client relationships through quality delivery.

Required Education and Experience
- Education: BA/BS Degree
- Minimum experience: 2+ years of industry experience
- Identity and Access Management experience: 2+ years
Additional Requirements
- Degree field: Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, Business, or relevant fields
- Hands-on tools: 1+ years of hands-on experience customizing Transmit Security and Ping Identity tools is a must
- Travel: Ability to travel 25-50%, on average, based on work, clients, and served industries or sectors
- Immigration: Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Consulting or Big 4 Project Management experience preferred
- Certifications a plus: Ping Identity/Transmit Security certifications, CISSP, CISM, or CISA
What You Will Do on the Deloitte Cyber Team
As a Security Engineer on the Deloitte Cyber team, you will support secure and scalable identity solutions within Deloitte’s CIAM infrastructure. Responsibilities include integrating identity platforms such as Transmit Security and Ping Identity with diverse applications, directories, and identity sources, resolving access-related issues and incidents, and proactively identifying performance bottlenecks and system issues.
