2027 Launch Graduate Program: Associate Cybersecurity Analyst

Momentum's Launch Program in Dallas invites recent graduates to begin as an entry level Associate Cybersecurity Analyst.

Responsibilities

• Security Monitoring and Alert Triage: Review alerts in MDR/SOC tooling, filter out false positives, and escalate suspicious activity to the Cybersecurity Operations Engineer using defined runbooks. Monitor security dashboards during assigned shifts and clearly document findings for handoffs, keeping alert disposition records up to date. Contribute to developing and refining triage runbooks as you gain environment familiarity.
• Vulnerability Management: Run scheduled scans across defined asset groups, validate and categorize findings with guidance, track remediation progress, and update the vulnerability register. Flag overdue patch management SLAs for escalation and assist in generating leadership reports.
• Incident Response Support: During active incidents, gather requested evidence, document timelines, and support investigation tasks under direct guidance. Maintain IR documentation including logs, timelines, and post-incident notes. Participate in tabletop exercises as observer and note-taker.
• GRC and Compliance Support: Collect and organize audit evidence for SOC 2 and ITGC activities. Complete control checklists accurately and on schedule under a GRC Analyst's direction. Support client security questionnaire responses by gathering documentation and evidence from internal systems. Assist with policy attestation tracking, vendor risk register updates, and NIST CSF remediation documentation.
• Documentation and Security Awareness: Support KnowBe4 campaign administration by tracking completion rates, pulling reports, and flagging non-completion for follow-up. Maintain accurate documentation of completed tasks, findings, and escalations. Leverage AI tools to accelerate documentation and draft initial content for senior review.

Requirements

• Graduates in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027 with a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts including the CIA triad, common attack types, network fundamentals, and basic security controls.
• Exposure to GRC concepts such as SOC 2, NIST CSF, or other compliance frameworks through coursework, certification study, or internship.
• Strong written communication; ability to document clearly and completely.
• Active daily use of AI tools; Momentum maintains 100 percent internal AI adoption.
• Genuine curiosity about security, threat news, home labs, and security blogs.

• Your day will span Security Monitoring and Alert Triage, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response Support, GRC and Compliance Support, and Documentation plus Security Awareness.
• Key activities include reviewing MDR/SOC alerts, identifying false positives, and escalating suspicious activity as needed.
• Additionally, you will assist with collecting evidence, maintaining IR timelines, and supporting tabletop exercises as an observer.
