Junior Cybersecurity Analyst Cloud, Network, Infrastructure Security & IAM
Job Description
The Junior Cybersecurity Analyst will support operational security across cloud, network, infrastructure, and enterprise identity and access management (IAM). Working under the guidance of senior IAM engineers, the role focuses on monitoring, execution, and documentation to help maintain secure environments.
Role Overview
This position helps secure cloud platforms, networks, servers, and enterprise infrastructure. It also supports IAM operations, including user access provisioning and security controls, with emphasis on day-to-day monitoring and escalation of issues as needed.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts across Cloud, Network, and Infrastructure environments
- Assist with implementing and maintaining security controls for cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Support network security operations such as firewall rules, VPN access, and network segmentation
- Assist with vulnerability scanning, patch validation, and remediation tracking
- Support infrastructure security for Windows and Linux servers, including hardening and access control
- Participate in incident response activities, including triage, investigation support, and documentation
- Handle access provisioning, modification, and de-provisioning activities
- Assist with Privileged Access Management (PAM) activities related to privileged accounts
- Support application onboarding and access validation
- Assist with application onboarding to IAM platforms using standard connectors
- Monitor IAM workflows, jobs, and alerts, escalating failures appropriately
- Support incident and service request resolution related to authentication and access issues
- Maintain IAM documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science with a Cybersecurity concentration and/or Cybersecurity major or a related field
- Exposure to Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Network Operations, IT Support, or Identity and Access Management
- Relevant certifications (nice to have): Azure/AWS Fundamentals, Network+, Security+

Compensation
The annual salary for this position is USD 65,000 per year, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This role is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Start Date
New hires will start in October 2026 in the Cognizant Englewood, CO office.
