Job Description

Working under the general supervision of the Information Security Chief, the Information Security Engineer designs, implements, and maintains organizational information security solutions while providing leadership and hands-on support for security and related technical operations. The role is based onsite in Quincy, IL and supports hospital mission and performance improvement initiatives.

Role Overview

The Information Security Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining information security solutions for Blessing Hospital. This position also involves leading and supporting security and related technical operations, applying expertise across computer systems architecture and administration, and contributing to fulfillment of the organization’s Mission and Vision.

Responsibilities

  • Under the general supervision of the Information Security Chief, implement and maintain information security solutions for the organization.
  • Provide leadership and support for security and related technical operations.
  • Maintain broad knowledge of computer systems architecture and administration, including workstation, server, and network environments.
  • Maintain a full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission and Vision of Blessing Hospital.
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with Blessing Hospital Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or typically 5 or more years of related work experience with a track record of risk assessment, problem identification, analytical problem-solving, and issue resolution.
  • Ability to learn quickly and multitask.
  • Process-oriented work approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • One or more security certifications: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), CISSP, or HCISSP, or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Pay and Schedule

  • Pay rate: $44.78 to $67.17 base, based on relevant experience.
  • Pay status: Exempt.
  • Schedule: Full-Time, Days; 40 hours per week; 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Minimum Qualifications
