Cybersecurity Technical Writer - AI Trainer
Job Description
DataAnnotation is expanding its remote cybersecurity team to include a Roling Cybersecurity Technical Writer who also trains AI models. In this role, you will assess AI-generated security content for accuracy, craft security-focused challenges to train AI systems, and deliver feedback that informs the next generation of AI security models. The position offers flexible scheduling, with options for part-time work or a primary focus, and is based remotely from Utah.
Responsibilities
- Assess AI-produced cybersecurity content for real-world relevance, including threat analyses, vulnerability reviews, and offensive security methods.
- Develop and solve security-centric technical challenges used to train AI systems.
- Produce clear technical explanations and security-relevant code snippets.
- Offer feedback that shapes the next generation of AI security models.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or related fields, including government or military cyber operations.
- Some coding experience is required; comfort navigating and patching a codebase is essential.
- Fluent English with strong writing skills.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Cybersecurity certifications are a plus (for example OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar).
