Job Description

DataAnnotation is looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Technical Writer - AI Trainer to support the evaluation and improvement of AI-generated cybersecurity outputs. The role is fully remote, with flexible scheduling and paid hourly work.

Location and Employment Details

  • Location: Indiana (remote)
  • Job type: Contract
  • Pay: USD 50 to 100 per hour
  • Eligibility: Available to candidates in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate AI-generated cybersecurity content for real-world accuracy and validity, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques.
  • Design and solve security-focused technical problems that are used to train AI systems.
  • Produce clear technical explanations and security-relevant code.
  • Provide targeted feedback that informs updates for the next generation of AI security models.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 2+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in roles such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or closely related work, including government or military cyber operations.
  • Coding experience required, with comfort navigating and patching an existing codebase.
  • English fluency (native or bilingual) with strong technical writing ability.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Cybersecurity certifications are a plus, including OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar credentials.
