Cybersecurity Technical Writer - AI Trainer
Job Description
DataAnnotation is seeking a Cybersecurity Technical Writer - AI Trainer to support the training of AI models focused on cybersecurity. In this fully remote contract role, you will review AI-generated security material for accuracy and validity, then produce technical problem-solving content that helps shape next-generation AI security capabilities.
This position is available to eligible candidates in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, with an hourly pay range of $50 to $100 USD. The role supports a flexible schedule and can be performed from your own computer.
What you’ll do
- Evaluate AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, with an emphasis on real-world accuracy.
- Design and solve security-focused technical problems used to train AI systems.
- Write clear technical explanations and security-relevant code.
- Provide feedback that directly influences the next generation of AI security models.
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent fields, including government or military cyber operations.
- Some coding experience; comfort navigating and patching a codebase is important.
- Fluency in English (native or bilingual level) with strong writing skills.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Preferred
- Cybersecurity certifications are a plus, including examples such as OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar.
