Job Description
Peraton is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Task Manager and primary cybersecurity point of contact (POC) supporting NORAD Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC-ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract III (NISSC III) in Colorado Springs, CO (onsite).
Responsibilities
- Serve as the program’s primary cybersecurity point of contact, leading cybersecurity activities across program teams, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Lead implementation of cybersecurity requirements, security architectures, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities across program systems and business processes.
- Provide certification and accreditation support, including security plans, contingency plans, security test and evaluation plans, and required documentation.
- Lead risk and vulnerability assessments, system security scans, audits, incident investigations, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Evaluate system configurations, security tools, policies, and procedures for compliance with applicable federal requirements and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop, test, integrate, and recommend cybersecurity tools and system enhancements to address security deficiencies and evolving requirements.
- Investigate complex technical and operational cybersecurity issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions and process improvements.
- Coordinate cybersecurity requirements, schedules, performance criteria, technical documentation, and program deliverables with the PMO, TPOCs, and customer.
- Provide technical assessments, recommendations, and cybersecurity briefings to program and customer leadership.
- Support MSOC/BMSOC design activities by coordinating cybersecurity requirements with suppliers, designers, functional teams, and the customer.
- Monitor cybersecurity activities to ensure execution stays on schedule and within budget while managing multiple priorities.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior cybersecurity personnel and promote collaboration across functional teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience developing cybersecurity requirements, schedules, FTE estimates, performance criteria, CDRL definitions, and project kick-off briefings.
- Minimum active Secret clearance.
- Proven ability leading cybersecurity operations related to space operational and/or ground systems.
- Experience developing and implementing cybersecurity procedures and processes IAW NIST 800-53 and DoD RMF.
- Experience evaluating cybersecurity measures and techniques for compliance with DoD and NIST requirements, demonstrated by successfully completing CCRI or CORA inspection.
- Experience leading teams of more than 10 technical IT and cybersecurity engineers.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time while meeting operational obligations.

Desired Qualifications
- Active Top Secret clearance preferred.
- Military training meeting 8140.03 “Advanced Technical Expertise” requirements: CISSP, CISM, GSLC, CISSP-ISSMP, or CISA certification.
- Experience supporting facility design and development or upgrade.
- Experience associated with Resilient MW/MT, OPIR, or Space Systems operations is highly desired.
- Expertise in theory of operations, performance characteristics, vulnerability, and employment of foreign weapons systems.
- Experience leading analysis, evaluation, and assessment of intelligence information on defensive systems and technologies.
Salary
- $112,000 - $179,000 per year.
- Salary determined by scope and responsibilities, experience, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, geographic location, and business/contract considerations.
- Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
