Cybersecurity Engineer

Envision Healthcare is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to help strengthen its cyber security program in a highly regulated, technology-driven environment. In this onsite role in the United States, you will support the Cyber Security Framework by improving security monitoring, vulnerability management, protection and detection technologies, and threat intelligence, while partnering with teams to keep security aligned with business priorities.

As a technical contributor, you will handle complex investigations and help drive improvements across security operations, including log-based event correlation, vulnerability remediation guidance, and the adoption of preventive controls based on emerging threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with development of the cyber security strategy, including departmental goals and objectives.
• Validate the maturity of the security program using repeatable processes and metrics.
• Respond to, investigate, and support resolution of complex cybersecurity events and incidents.
• Analyze log data to correlate security events and identify patterns.
• Detect, analyze, track, and guide remediation of complex security vulnerabilities.
• Research emerging threats and implement or lead implementation of preventive controls.
• Support, maintain, and enhance protection and detection security technologies.
• Develop and execute improvement plans for security technologies.
• Provide guidance to business owners on implementing security controls for organizational programs.
• Create and deliver security metrics, providing technical analysis to explain performance and trends.
• Investigate and recommend new technologies in support of security operations.
• Act as a subject matter expert for team analysts and assist with escalated issues.
• Create internal security department documentation.
• Be available for on-call as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year College or University.
• 4 years of work related experience.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, NIST, and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
• Experience managing, supporting, and implementing protection and detection technologies, including endpoint protection, email/web/network firewall, vulnerability scanning, and SIEM platforms.
• CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar certification for at least 3 years.
