Cyber Security Analyst
Job Description
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join the Indianapolis onsite team. In this Tier 2 SOC role, you will monitor, detect, and respond to real-time cyber threats, supporting round-the-clock operations and incident response to safeguard critical infrastructure within a collaborative security program.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze threats using advanced tooling to identify potential security issues.
- Detect, correlate, and respond to cybersecurity alerts as they arise.
- Review logs, tool outputs, and intelligence feeds; investigate security events and follow escalation procedures.
- Identify opportunities for improvements and contribute to security posture enhancements.
- Prepare reports and informational documents; collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Work with the team to understand, mitigate, and respond to threats quickly, restoring operations and limiting impact.
- Analyze incidents to determine affected systems and support recovery efforts.
- Integrate threat intelligence, event data, and recent assessments to uncover attacker goals and patterns to prevent future success.
- Develop hands-on skills in threat assessment and incident response through practical engagement.
Requirements
- Experience with DoD information systems.
- Ability to support 24/7 operations via a shift work schedule.
- Top Secret clearance.
- HS diploma or GED.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II and CSSP Analyst Certifications.

Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Work Model
- Remote: Some in-person participation may be required at Booz Allen or a customer facility.

Compensation
Projected compensation range: USD 69,400.00 to 158,000.00 annually.
NICE IF YOU HAVE
- Experience with DoD STIGs and SRGs and hardening guidance
- Knowledge of ESS, ACAS, and DoD SIEM platforms
- Ability to work well on a team
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field
