Job Description

Join Baptist Health South Florida as an Associate Enterprise IT Security Engineer, an on-site role in Florida focused on safeguarding patients, staff, data, and assets through proactive security tooling and incident response. You will plan, deploy, monitor, and refine security controls, contribute to security operations, and drive remediation of vulnerabilities, with a salary range of USD 78,611 to 102,194 per year. A Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of relevant experience are required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deploy, implement, monitor, and continuously improve security tools and controls to protect patients, employees, data, and assets in line with Baptist Health standards.
  • Vet technology solutions for security best practices according to Baptist Health standards and applicable frameworks.
  • Provide application and interface support, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with appropriate technical resources to resolve them.
  • Respond to system or network security breaches in a timely manner.
  • Remediate identified vulnerabilities in networks and systems, coordinating remediation efforts.
  • Ensure data and infrastructure remain secure by enabling suitable security controls and measures.
  • Develop and refine operational workflows and processes to improve efficiency.
  • Anticipate future technology and business needs to propose proactive security solutions for the environment.
  • Report and communicate security status to relevant client departments, other technical resources, and vendors.
  • Rotational on-call duties, with 24x7 coverage may be required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience implementing and supporting security tools, policies, and procedures for enterprise computing and network environments.
  • Working knowledge of Linux, Mac, and Microsoft OS; mobile device and app management controls; endpoint protection; network topologies and controls; scripting; authentication protocols; database systems; application security; vulnerability remediation; and data loss prevention.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level applications and advising individuals with varied technical, business, and operational backgrounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies.
  • Balanced technical, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Results-driven with a focus on delivering high-quality security support.
  • Preferred experience with IoT/IoMT security concepts, data loss prevention, Office 365 security, SIEM, physical security and privacy controls, and risk management.
