Job Description
Join DaVita in an onsite IT Security role in Denver, CO. This hands-on position helps support DaVita’s IT Security program by evaluating, implementing, and administering enterprise cybersecurity platforms, working closely with internal IT teams, external vendors, and business groups. Salary range: USD 78,000 to 119,000 per year. Minimum experience: 5 years.
What you’ll do
- Engineer, implement, and administer IT security technical control solutions and related tools, including web content filtering, intrusion detection and prevention, network and host-based or web application firewalls, and EDR/XDR capabilities such as extended detection and response or endpoint detection and response.
- Support security operations through controls for anti-virus and advanced malware protection, data loss prevention, privileged access management, and vulnerability and incident scanning, assessment, and reporting.
- Conduct technical security research, analyze new technologies, evaluate fit, and provide recommendations to improve the security posture.
- Build and maintain relationships with third-party vendors delivering technology services, tools, and consulting.
- Review firewall rule requests and collaborate with requestors and the network team to implement least-privileged rulesets.
- Partner with IT resources to enhance security logging and integrate with a managed SIEM provider.
- Create and distribute security reports to business and IT units, including vulnerability reporting that supports remediation tracking.
- Optimize security technologies and processes to support IT Security Threat Analysts (Red/Blue team).
- Create and update documentation, including run books, knowledge base articles, and technical guidelines.
- Handle other assigned projects and duties as needed.
What you’ll bring
- 5 years of experience in enterprise IT Security or IT System Administration, with experience in one or more areas such as networking, server management, endpoint devices, or cloud computing.
- Proven knowledge of cybersecurity and tasks that protect and defend information and information systems by supporting confidentiality, integrity, availability, secure authentication, and non-repudiation.
- Relevant certifications are a plus, including CISSP, CEH, GSEC, Security+, MCSE, RHCSA, CCNA, and others.
- Experience managing large enterprise security suites is a plus (examples include Cisco, Palo Alto, and Microsoft Office 365).
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to listen attentively and communicate clearly.
- Demonstrated collaboration and relationship-building skills, including positive interaction with teammates across the organization.
- Ability to work in a team setting, facilitate effective team interactions, and support a positive work environment.
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational strengths.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities in an evolving environment, with self-directed initiative and follow-through.
- Availability for on-call rotation for after-hours support, including being primary on-call for a week every 1–2 months.
