Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC)
Job Description
The Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC) role with FHFA-OIG is an onsite leadership position in Washington, DC. The incumbent leads IT security audits, oversees staff and contractors, and helps shape the annual IT audit plan for information systems and information security programs. The position offers a salary range of USD 170,539 to 289,915 per year.
Responsibilities
- Direct subordinates to conduct highly technical and complex audits of IT systems and information security programs in conformance with applicable professional standards and FHFA OIG policy.
- In collaboration with the Deputy Inspector General for Audits, Assistant Inspector General for Audits, other Audit Directors, and Audit Managers, develop and assess the overall audit approach and the annual plan for the upcoming fiscal year.
- Direct and oversee work performed by subordinates and contractors through the IT Specialist/Audit Managers and CORs.
Requirements
- A one-year probationary period may be required; continued employment is contingent upon supervisory certification that such employment will benefit the Federal Service, with certification occurring no less than 30 days before the end of the probationary period.
- A one-year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine suitability for Federal employment when requested by the agency.
- If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt.
- Salary payments must be sent via Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
- Proceed through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process requiring two forms of identification from Form I-9.
- Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
- File a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of appointment and annually thereafter.
- If retired from the Federal Government and selected for this vacancy, retirement annuity may be offset from pay.
- Travel as required by the position, recognizing that many audits and related activities may be performed locally with periods of little or no travel.
