Salary range: USD 117,500 to 176,300 per year. This on-site role is based at the Rancho Carmel campus in San Diego, CA.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an AFSO/Sr. Principal Industrial Security Analyst 4 to join a diverse team of security professionals. This on-site position at the Rancho Carmel campus in San Diego will serve as the Assistant Facility Security Officer for the site and report to the DoD Security Manager.
Responsibilities
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced setting while building and leveraging relationships with internal and external customers.
- Design and administer security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.
- Analyze applicable federal security regulations and apply them to company operations.
- Obtain rulings and interpretations for regulatory compliance from government agencies.
- Create manuals detailing regulations and establish handling, storage, records, and access procedures for restricted materials.
- Deliver security education sessions and conduct security audits.
- Investigate security violations and prepare corrective action reports.
- Maintain working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM.
- Build and sustain a comprehensive security program aligned with NISPOM and related requirements.
- Develop and maintain a broad security education, training, and awareness program.
- Plan and conduct security inspections, including self-inspections, CSA inspections, and internal audits.
- Investigate security incidents and submit reports to CSA personnel.
- Lead security tasks for construction, modification, and approval of classified areas.
- Develop and maintain security documentation such as OPSEC plans, CONOPS, SOPs, and desktop instructions.
- Handle contract security classification actions, including reviewing and interpreting Form DD-254 and creating DD-254 for subcontractors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8+ years in Industrial Security/AFSO or related experience, or Master’s Degree with 6+ years of Industrial Security or related experience; four additional years of applicable experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
- Current active Top-Secret clearance.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite (Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to work in a 1st Shift 9/80 or 4/10 schedule.
