Sr Principal Classified Cybersecurity Analyst

Northrop Grumman’s CIDO Classified Solutions team is seeking an onsite Sr. Principal Classified Cybersecurity Analyst to support information systems lifecycle activities across assigned systems and enclaves.

Responsibilities

• Manage the cybersecurity program for all assigned information systems and execute cybersecurity-related tasks across the lifecycle.
• Lead regular reviews of system audits and continuous monitoring, covering security controls and configurations to improve the information system security posture.
• Assess systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify deviations from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
• Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.
• Drive implementation of required government policy, including recommendations on process tailoring and participation in documented process activities.
• Establish and oversee strict program control processes supporting Assessment and Authorization (A&A), including:
  • Process support and analysis
  • Coordination
  • Security certification testing
  • Security documentation
  • Investigations
  • Software research
  • Hardware introduction and release
  • Emerging technology research
  • Inspections
  • Periodic audits
• Lead formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) for each government accrediting authority, including pre-test preparations, test participation, result analysis, and required report preparation.
• Document results of A&A and inspection activities, including technical or corrective actions, and coordinate with the security team to submit responses to the cognizant authority.
• Prepare, review, and submit A&A documentation for review and approval, including System Security Plan, Risk Acceptance Report, Security Controls Traceability Matrix, Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and Security Controls Traceability Matrix (SCTMs).

Requirements

• Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor’s degree with 8 years; OR Associate’s degree with 10 years; OR High School diploma (or equivalent) with 12 years.
• Must meet U.S. Government 8140 requirements for a Sr. Principal Classified Cybersecurity Analyst ( CISSP or equivalent ).
• Must have a current U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance at a minimum, including a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years, OR must be enrolled in the U.S. Government Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
• Experience in cybersecurity compliance (example: Assessment & Authorization under RMF).
• Knowledge of security tools such as Nessus, Splunk, Trellix, and SCAP.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and documentation such as NIST, JSIG, SSPs, ITCSCs, POA&Ms, and SCTMs.

Compensation

• Salary range: USD 142,200 - 213,400 per year
