Sr. Cyber Security Engineer

Senior Cyber Security Engineer to own end-to-end cybersecurity design, strategy, and execution for OT and IT environments at Qcells in Cartersville, GA (onsite).

Responsibilities

• Own and lead OT security policy design and enforcement across factory environments using Stealthwatch for network visibility and anomaly detection.
• Architect and govern firewall rule sets and security policies with Cisco Firepower (FP), supporting segmentation and controlled internal and external communications.
• Lead the strategy and operational execution of Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) with Symantec ATP, including tuning, escalation workflows, and continuous program improvement.
• Drive endpoint security programs covering Symantec antivirus, EDR, and USB access controls; define standards and oversee scaled deployment.
• Lead incident response activities for security events, including root cause analysis, forensic investigation, and post-incident reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain real-time monitoring for security logs, alerts, and network traffic; define SOC escalation procedures, including AI security policies.
• Define and enforce patch management strategies for operating systems and applications to ensure timely remediation and compliance with security baselines.
• Lead vulnerability management including scanning, risk prioritization, and remediation tracking across IT and OT teams.
• Oversee database access governance and privileged account management, aligned with least-privilege principles and audit requirements.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, including policies, incident reports, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide thought leadership on emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities, translating intelligence into actionable security improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity deployment and operations.
• Experience deploying and operating security systems (e.g., Firewall, SSL VPN, APT, etc.).
• Strong knowledge and experience in network traffic analysis and vulnerability management.
• Strong knowledge and experience with basic security protocols such as OWASP Top10.
• Ability to meet required deadlines with high reliability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deploying and operating cybersecurity infrastructure in high-tech industries such as Solar and semiconductors.
• Experience managing and operating network and security systems in a datacenter.
• Experience designing and upgrading cybersecurity systems (e.g., DDoS, ATP, endpoint, firewall).
• Experience with security solutions such as Cisco FP, Stealthwatch, and Symantec solutions.
• Experience in large-scale cybersecurity operations and AI cyber security policies.
• High technical understanding of U.S. Protection Policy and the Personal Information Act.
