Job Description

In this onsite role in Milwaukee, WI, you’ll help strengthen security across both IT and OT while partnering with Information Technology, Engineering, Operations, and executive leadership. Responsibilities

  • Write and maintain security policies, facilitate tabletop exercises, and plan enhancements aligned to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Secure the plant floor using IT to OT segmentation, maintain an OT asset inventory, and support secure vendor remote access.
  • Develop hardened configuration standards for servers, network, and backup systems, then implement them with the infrastructure team.
  • Harden identity, endpoint, email, network, and cloud security across Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
  • Lead security incident response during business hours and manage a managed detection and response partner.
  • Run vulnerability management end to end: scan, prioritize, remediate, verify, and report.
  • Manage the security awareness platform and deliver training across roles, from office staff to the plant floor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Five to ten years of experience in network, server, or systems administration or engineering.
  • Two or more years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, such as security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, or identity and endpoint security.
  • Working knowledge of a security framework such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or ISA/IEC 62443.
  • Strong working skills in Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and networking.

Where You’ll Work

This position is based at Palermo’s headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with time split between the office, manufacturing facilities, and warehouse operations. You will partner with Information Technology, Engineering, Operations, and executive leadership to strengthen cybersecurity and infrastructure across the enterprise.

  • Keep policies current and run tabletop exercises leaders consider worthwhile.
  • Earn trust across IT, Operations, and Engineering by fixing problems and explaining risk in plain terms.
