Sr AWS Application Security Engineer, ADC AppSec

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior AWS Application Security Engineer to strengthen the security of AWS services, applications, and customer-facing websites. This onsite role in Seattle, within the ADC AppSec team, emphasizes threat modeling, security reviews, automation, and cross-team guidance to safeguard systems and data.

Compensation

Salary: USD 178,400 - 226,700 per year

Minimum experience

4+ years of non-internship experience in troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating complex tasks using command-line tools

Responsibilities

• Conduct application security reviews
• Perform deeply threat modeling of AWS services
• Pursue continuous improvement and research as needed
• Provide security training and outreach to internal development teams
• Maintain security guidance documentation
• Develop security tools
• Deliver and improve security metrics
• Support recruiting activities and handle administrative tasks
