Job Description

The Security Analyst Level I will help safeguard DBM Global Inc.’s digital assets by monitoring online and on-premises environments for unauthorized access. This onsite role in Phoenix, AZ includes incident investigation, security auditing, and support for SOX compliance through testing and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor DBMG computer networks for security issues and support the infrastructure team in addressing identified vulnerabilities to maintain strong security standards.
  • Audit the activities of security administrators across multiple software applications.
  • Conduct internal and external security audits to inform technology decisions.
  • Perform operational risk assessment (OSA) for all organizational facilities.
  • Monitor and help protect information infrastructure using tools and controls such as firewalls, Proxies, SIEM, Antivirus, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and data encryption programs.
  • Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents to identify root cause.
  • Document security breaches and evaluate the damage caused or that may occur.
  • Verify third-party vendor security standards and collaborate to meet security requirements.
  • Stay current on information technology trends, security standards, and cybersecurity news.
  • Demonstrate understanding of information security management.

Security and Compliance Focus

This role supports the evaluation of existing security policies through reporting for IT administrators and business managers. The position also assists with testing IT General Controls to help maintain Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Protect digital files and information systems against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
  • Maintain data security and monitor security access.
  • Conduct internal and external security and compliance audits.
  • Monitor network environments and intrusion detection and prevention systems.
  • Analyze security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents to determine root cause.
  • Document security breaches and assess the impact they cause.
  • Work with the security team to test controls and identify network vulnerabilities.
  • Review and maintain corporate security policies.
  • Audit the security awareness training program.
  • Coordinate security plans with outside vendors.

Experience, Education, and Certification

  • Experience: 3–5 years.
  • Minimum experience: 3 years.
  • Education: BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certification: The Information Security Analyst must have a current ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity. If not currently certified, there is a 6-month period to obtain certification.
