Security Analyst, Identity and Access Management (IAM)
Job Description
Labcorp is seeking a Remote Security Analyst to support Identity and Access Management (IAM) activities across enterprise systems and applications. In this role, you will help ensure secure, compliant access by managing user lifecycle operations, access governance, and audit support while partnering with cybersecurity, infrastructure, compliance, Human Resources, and business teams.
This position is based in Durham, NC (remote), with an optional hybrid schedule for qualified candidates who live within 35 miles of either Burlington, NC or Durham, NC.
What you will do
- Administer user access within IBM RACF and related enterprise security platforms.
- Handle user provisioning, modification, and deprovisioning according to established policies and service level expectations.
- Investigate and resolve access-related issues.
- Support access governance activities across mainframe and enterprise environments.
- Manage access requests, incidents, and workflows through ServiceNow.
- Coordinate with business and technology teams to fulfill and resolve access requests.
- Support access certification campaigns, compliance initiatives, and audit activities.
- Partner with internal and external auditors by providing required documentation, evidence, and subject matter expertise.
- Maintain and update IAM operating procedures, standards, and governance documentation.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen security controls and improve operational effectiveness.
- Coordinate testing and implementation activities for IAM integrations and Human Resources data feeds.
- Support ServiceNow enhancements and IAM technology initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and technology partners to enhance IAM services and platforms.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
What you bring
- High school diploma with 10+ years of IAM/Information Security/Cybersecurity support experience, or an Associate degree.
- 5+ years of experience supporting Identity and Access Management, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related technology functions.
- Experience administering IBM RACF security access.
- Experience with user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access lifecycle management.
- Experience managing requests and incidents through ServiceNow.
- Experience supporting compliance programs, access certification campaigns, and audit activities.
- Knowledge of IAM technologies and access governance practices.
- Knowledge of DB2 security and access controls.
- Experience supporting Unisys security administration.
- Experience coordinating testing activities related to Human Resources system integrations.
- Experience working in complex enterprise technology environments.
- Strong analytical, organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to identify operational risks and improvement opportunities.
- Commitment to maintaining security, compliance, and governance standards.

Schedule and location
- Location: Remote
- Applicants living within 35 miles of Burlington, NC or Durham, NC follow a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three in-office days per week at an assigned location (Burlington or Durham).
- Work schedule: Full-time, exempt (salaried), First Shift
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone
- Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, with reasonable notice when possible.
Compensation
- Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000 per year
Work authorization
- Requires permanent authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
- Sponsorship is not available (including H-1B, OPT/CPT, EAD, or other temporary work authorization).
