Job Description

This on-site role in Aurora, Colorado supports the lifecycle of information systems within a classified environment, focusing on audits, continuous monitoring, assessments, and government authorization and testing activities for TS/SCI access.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive system audits and continuous monitoring across all security controls, configurations, and processes to evaluate the information system's security posture.
  • Assess systems and networks within the enclave, identifying deviations from approved configurations and local or enclave policy.
  • Analyze to validate established security requirements and recommend additional safeguards and controls.
  • Assist in implementing applicable government policy, suggest process tailoring, and document process activities.
  • Establish rigorous program controls to mitigate risk and support the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of systems, including process support, coordination, security certification testing, documentation, investigations, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research, inspections, and periodic audits.
  • Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in tests, analysis of results, and preparation of reports.
  • Document the results of A&A activities and related coordination activities, and assemble the Risk Management Framework body of evidence.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant technical experience; or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant technical experience; or an Associate degree with 7 years of relevant technical experience; or a High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Candidates must meet the U.S. Government 8140 requirements (8570 equivalent) for a Classified Cybersecurity Analyst – IAM Level I certification (or higher) at a minimum (examples: Security+, CND, Cloud+).
  • Candidates must hold a current U.S. Government Top Secret clearance to include Sensitive Compartmented Information access (TS/SCI).
  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a polygraph as a condition of continued employment.

Compensation

Annual salary: USD 114,000 to 171,000

Preferred Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field, a Security+ CE, and 6 years of experience with vulnerability scanning and information assurance in classified environments.
  • Experience in cybersecurity compliance, such as RMF Assessment & Authorization.
  • Knowledge of security tools such as ACAS/Rapid7, Nessus, Splunk, Trellix, and SCAP.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and documentation such as NIST, JSIG, DAAG, SSPs, POA&Ms, and SCTMs.
  • A current polygraph is nice to have.
