Job Description
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager Cybersecurity 1 to lead a squad of Information System Security Professionals delivering classified solutions onsite in Linthicum, MD, with operations based in Baltimore, MD. The position requires a current Top Secret clearance and includes travel up to 10 percent.
Responsibilities
- Direct a team of cybersecurity professionals tasked with assessing systems and networks within a secure enclave.
- Create and oversee stringent program control processes that reduce risk and support system Assessment and Authorization (A and A). This encompasses process support, analysis, coordination, security certification testing, documentation, investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology studies, inspections, and periodic audits.
- Lead the implementation of required government policy including DAAG, JSIG, and ICDs to ensure compliance. Develop tailoring recommendations and manage the documentation and execution of process activities.
- Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and identify additional safeguards and requirements.
- Lead the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in tests, results analysis, and generation of required reports.
- Document the results of A&A and inspection activities, along with any technical or corrective actions, and collaborate with the security team to submit responses to the appropriate cognizant authority. Periodically review audits for each system and ensure corrective actions are resolved.
- Foster an environment focused on individual development, teamwork, effective performance management, open communication, financial stewardship, and resource utilization.
- Ensure the team adheres to Northrop Grumman’s policies and procedures, maintaining accuracy and completeness in support of those guidelines.
- Interact with internal executives, the CIDO Program Management Office, and customers on significant technical matters, often requiring cross-organizational coordination.
Requirements
- Master’s degree with 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience is required.
- Candidates must hold a current U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance (at a minimum), including a closed investigation date within the last 6 years, or be enrolled in the U.S. Government Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program to be considered.
