IT & Cybersecurity Manager

Yotta Energy is seeking an IT & Cybersecurity Manager to strengthen internal technology operations and cybersecurity across the business. This onsite role in Austin, TX partners closely with a managed IT service provider to keep systems reliable, improve infrastructure continuously, and protect company systems and data. You will have direct exposure to cloud-connected technologies and Yotta’s mission, supporting energy storage systems and power electronics in day-to-day technology execution.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between Yotta Energy and the managed IT service provider.
• Manage day-to-day technology operations for the company.
• Coordinate hardware deployments, upgrades, replacements, and lifecycle management.
• Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding, including technology equipment, user accounts, and system access.
• Maintain inventory of laptops, monitors, mobile devices, printers, and other technology assets.
• Administer Microsoft 365 licensing, user administration, and collaboration tools.
• Coordinate software deployments, updates, and technology projects.
• Manage conference room technology, including Microsoft Teams Rooms and office AV equipment.
• Support employees with hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues, escalating complex items to the managed IT provider.
• Lead Yotta’s cybersecurity program in partnership with the managed IT service provider, including risk monitoring and remediation coordination.
• Oversee endpoint security components such as antivirus, MFA, email security, and identity management.
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments and security audits.
• Manage cybersecurity awareness training for employees.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies and procedures.
• Coordinate incident response activities with external security partners.
• Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices are maintained.
• Assist with compliance requirements and security best practices.
• Manage relationships with IT vendors, telecommunications providers, and software vendors.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions that improve productivity and security.
• Manage technology budgets, purchasing, and vendor contracts/service agreements.
• Lead IT-related projects from planning through implementation, including maintaining IT policies, standards, and documentation.
• Support internal and external technology audits, assist with software license compliance, and develop standard operating procedures for IT operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, cybersecurity, or related roles.
• Experience working with managed service providers.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience managing technology vendors and projects.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms and AV systems.
• Security+, CISSP, Microsoft, or similar certifications are a plus.
