Innovation and Technology Analyst II - Cybersecurity
Job Description
City of Riverside is seeking an Innovation and Technology Analyst II - Cybersecurity to join its Cybersecurity Division. The on-site role in Riverside, CA focuses on incident response, forensics, auditing, vulnerability management, SIEM, and firewall management, while providing technical guidance across security operations. The position offers a monthly salary range of USD 7,874 to 10,397.
Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced system analyses across the design, development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of information systems, networks, servers, and supporting hardware and software.
- Provide advanced technical assistance to system users in accordance with applicable information systems policies, procedures, methods, and techniques.
- Assist in evaluating, planning, implementing, and integrating new systems and current system upgrades.
- Prepare and design complex technical reports using database and reporting tools.
- Develop project timelines and task management plans aligned with implementation efforts.
- Conduct research, gather cost information and vendor quotes, and recommend hardware and software based on current or new City standards.
- Develop and produce system documentation, instructional and procedural manuals.
- Coordinate and deliver training for client users on assigned systems, applications, or related projects.
- Collaborate with administration to propose enhancements that improve services, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain professional relationships with vendors and their technical support personnel.
- Provide after-hours on-call support 24x7 as assigned.
- Provide scheduled after-hours support for migrations, installations, troubleshooting, and upgrades as assigned.
Requirements
- Intermediate security experience in large, complex heterogeneous IT environments.
- Experience implementing and monitoring enterprise-wide security projects.
- Ability to adhere to regulatory compliance standards and industry best practices.
