Information Systems Security Officer, Classified Cybersecurity
Job Description
ISSO (Information Systems Security Officer) for Lockheed Martin Space in Huntsville, AL requires Final Secret clearance with the ability to attain Top Secret, and leads RMF based information security operations, audits, incident response, and security policy enforcement.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily information system security operations and assist the ISSM on technical security matters
- Perform technical administration of information systems in line with LM and customer security requirements, primarily RMF
- Contribute to IS audits and ongoing monitoring activities
- Evaluate and supervise RMF package authorizations
- Maintain, monitor, analyze, and respond to security events
- Document compliance actions in the approved automated tracking system or develop a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M)
- Operate, maintain, and dispose of systems in accordance with internal security policies
- Maintain configuration management for security relevant software, hardware, firmware, and documentation
- Keep all information systems lifecycle management documentation current
- Support and deliver information security education and training
- Participate in internal and external security audits and inspections; perform risk assessments
- Assist in investigations of computer security violations and incidents
- Implement protective measures and remediation when incidents or vulnerabilities are identified
- Enforce information security policies and procedures in collaboration with the ISSM and security professionals
Requirements
- Final Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
- Knowledge of Information Systems Security Officer duties
- Experience with IS auditing and investigations
- foundational understanding of infrastructure technologies and functions (Windows/Linux servers and workstations, Active Directory, ePolicy Orchestrator, etc)
- Experience developing, reviewing, and maintaining RMF artifacts
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1-5 years of professional experience
- Security clearance statement: this position requires government security clearance; US citizenship is required
